vector sum
The result of adding two vectors.

The procedure for adding two vectors is to lay out the first vector with a length that represents the magnitude of the physical quantity and an arrow that represents the direction. Then, we place the second vector with its tail at the head of the first vector. The sum of these two vectors is obtained by connecting the tail of the first vector to the head of the second vector.

When adding more than two vectors, always place the tail of the next vector at the head of the current vector, then construct the resultant vector by connecting the tail of the first vector to the head of the last vector.
