A closed plane figure with three straight sides.
The sum of the three interior angles in a triangle is always 180°. Each of the three points where two sides meet is called the vertex. The area of a triangle is half the length of one side (called the base) times the height (length of the perpendicular line from the base to the opposite vertex).
