discrete
Denoting a situation where things are distinct, separated from each other, and having a finite or countably infinite number of values.

For example, the set of integers is discrete, but the set of rational numbers is not. This is because there always exists another rational number between any two specifically selected rational numbers.

The results of tossing a coin form a discrete set of events, since a coin can turn up either heads or tails, nothing else.
