cosecant (cosec or csc)
A trigonometric function of an angle equal to the reciprocal of its sine, that is,

        cosecant x = 1 / sin x

It is equal to the ratio of the length of the hypotenuse to that of the side opposite the angle. Cosecant is usually abbreviated as cosec or csc.
